Daydreaming

As I look up at the sky, 

and the radio plays, 

the clouds pass by,  

I put my finger to your face.

Enjoy the flag way, 

the patriotic poster stay, 

the statue save, 

and the bell made of clay.

Then the wheels turn, 

and I awake.

Sorry I was late...

I was daydreaming.

Some people say that our ribs hold our hearts back from wandering. That they enclose our hearts, not allowing us to love wherever.

But that's where they're wrong. 

Our hearts weren't meant to travel around, constantly searching for the one. Our ribs enclose the heart, so we learn to stay where we are, let life lead us along naturally, and through that, find our person.

People come into our lives for a reason.

To love us, 

impact us, 

challenge us, 

guide us, 

or shape us as a person. 

No matter what the reason is, they have a purpose. So don't push them out of your life.

There are voices that talk to us, but we shun them as we grow up, 

thinking that the world knows better than the voices in our heads.

Unsaid Goodbyes

We never got to say goodbye. 

 I guess that's because I made myself believe we would see each other again.

What a stupid mistake.

You are unique to yourself, 

no one else could replicate the person you have become, 

the actions you made and the thoughts you've never said aloud.

Everything is your own and no one can take that from you.

If only you knew how much you are missed. Your movies left an impact on every single person and we are grateful for that. 

Because of you, we know that our inner demons can do terrible things to us, but only if we let them. You fought for so long, showing us the man we knew and still love. 

You also taught us that people can have a side to them that we'd never imagine. From watching your phenomenal films, we would have never pictured you as a depressed person who would one day commit suicide. 

The words you spoke impacted us so much. All the way from "poetry, beauty, romance love...these are what we stay alive for" to "smile boy, it's sunrise", your exiting film words. 

You filled millions of people with joy and heart-felt life lessons. You are the definition of impactful. 

Robin Williams, you are truly missed.

A New Person

Everyday I live, I become a new person. 

Whether it is as simple as a new thought on life, a new haircut, or a different meal. 

Even the smallest changes can shape and turn us into a different person.

Who knew one mountain of rock could harm so many people. To the point where their bodies were plastered into horrifying shapes and preserved for the people of the future to stumble upon. How awful it must have been. Who knew the earth was capable of that.

If Only You Knew: Van Gogh

If only you knew about the thousands of people you've inspired, the various people who are awed by your work, and the vast amount of people who have said your name like you're the hero of art. 

You would be amazed at the people who stand in front of your art and attempt to draw the beauty left on your canvas.

She thought of him as everything, 

His music made her so happy, 

She went to the concerts because of him, 

Singing his songs, hoping they'd meet. 

She wished she stood out in the crowd, 

But not amongst everyone else. 

He thought of his fans as everything, 

They're the reason he's here, 

He performed concerts, 

They would scream his name all at once. 

He would never find the right one,

But he still hoped.

Everyone needs a little bit of fantasy to get through each day;

few admit it to the world.

Learn things about places I've never been to.

Go to Paris and climb the Eiffel Tower, 

Go surfing in California, 

Take a cruise to Alaska, 

and learn to belly dance in India. 

I want to travel the world and live my life.
